To me, the image feels like a frozen moment between security and catastrophe: warm tones of orange and brown meet cool turquoise, while the rotor slices through the familiar living space.

‘KAMALOKA 3H’

Perhaps the most disturbing thing about a crash is that it is preceded by a flight—that something which just moments ago seemed buoyed, in the next instant falls with the same relentless consistency with which it was previously carried through the darkness.

Kamaloka 3h condenses this contradiction into a vision of almost physical impact: a warm, inhabited interior is pierced by a rotor like a monstrous blade, as if a foreign sphere had forcibly bored into reality; the architecture gapes open, the perspective loses its gravity, and the night pours into the room, bringing with it an icy cold that seems to come not from outside, but from the incursion of the incomprehensible itself.

Even the emptiness of the seats takes on a peculiar cruelty: for a fleeting moment, there is a sense of relief that no one could have been there, before that sigh of relief turns into something far more unsettling—the realization that the violence of this event never required an opposite.

A ghostly machine whose immense energy has survived any personal motive, and which thus takes on almost the character of unleashed fate—perhaps even a phantom that has outlived its own existence and is now returning to its origin. This is where Kamaloka gains its true depth: the place of desire, that elusive gap where the ties to the earthly are meant to lose their power; and suddenly, this living space no longer appears merely as a destroyed interior, but as the final, torn-open skeleton of a life to which everything still clings—warmth, passion, memory, the idea of permanence.

Three o’clock in the morning—that boundless hour between sleep and wakefulness, in which reality loses its firm contours and the impossible suddenly possesses the same sensory certainty as the familiar.

The light is still on, but gravity already belongs to another world.
